Former India captain MS Dhoni, who is known for his irrepressible behavior on the cricket field, turned 42 recently on July 07, 2023. The occasion brought a flood of wishes and posts honoring “Captain Cool” from fans and the sports fraternity. Considered one of the most loved and respected cricketers, Dhoni led Team India to three major ICC trophies and led his IPL team Chennai Super Kings (CSK) to incredible success, leading them to five titles.

Adding to the legend of Dhoni, a video has emerged showcasing another hidden talent of the CSK skipper: his singing ability. Shared by former CSK teammate and fast bowler Mohit Sharma on Dhoni’s birthday, the video is believed to be from his time at CSK. In the clip, Dhoni can be seen singing the iconic Hindi song “Salaam-e-Ishq Meri Jaan” from the film “Muqaddar Ka Sikandar”, which was originally sung by Lata Mangeshkar and Kishore Kumar.

Mohit Sharma played a vital role in the CSK team from 2013 to 2015, featuring in 47 matches and taking an impressive 57 wickets. He later represented Punjab Kings from 2016 to 2018. In the IPL 2023 season, Sharma made a remarkable comeback after being bought by Gujarat Titans. He played 14 matches, taking 27 wickets, including an exceptional performance of 5/10. He emerged as the joint second highest wicket-taker along with his teammate Rashid Khan.

Turning the spotlight back to Dhoni, the legendary wicketkeeper-batsman made his international debut in 2004 and soon established himself as a formidable hitter. However, over time he has evolved into a finisher known for his calculated aggression and exceptional tactical acumen.

Dhoni is India’s fifth-highest run-scorer in ODIs, while Sachin Tendulkar holds the top spot with 18,426 runs. Dhoni is also the 11th most successful ODI batsman of all time.
