Despite recently rolling out a complete UX refresh under the Content You program, Google Drive is sporting a tweaked homepage.
official google drive Twitter (opens in new tab) The account shared a view of the new ‘Home’ tab that appears to have made its way to the sidebar above the ‘My Drive’ view, which is currently the default entry point for most Drive users.
Inside the ‘Home’ view, a pair of view buttons at the top of the page allow users to alternate between ‘Suggested’ and ‘Activity’ views.

‘Suggested’ will likely surface what has been accessed recently or that has been accessed regularly, thus similar in nature to the ‘Suggested’ view currently at the top of the ‘My Drive’ page appears on
‘Activity’ acts almost as an information hub for new file activity including comments, changes and access requests.
Google says it’s “testing a new homepage in Drive with a group of users” and it’s unclear when the full rollout will happen — if at all.
This is all in an effort to help users cloud storage The platform finds the work they need more quickly and ultimately with fewer clicks.
