Both Zimbabwe and West Indies will aim to build on their winning streak when they take on each other in the World Cup 2023 qualifiers today. The qualifying match between Zimbabwe and West Indies will be played at the Harare Sports Club. Both West Indies and Zimbabwe currently have four points each, but the Caribbean team topped Group A due to their superior net run rate (NRR). West Indies will go into the match after defeating Nepal by a huge margin of 101 runs in their last match. On the other hand, Zimbabwe won their last match against Netherlands by six wickets. Chasing a total of 316, Zimbabwe easily scored the winning runs with 55 balls to spare. Zimbabwe all-rounder Sikandar Raza smashed a brilliant 102 not out in just 54 balls to guide his side to a six-wicket win against their Dutch opponents. Due to his strong batting, Raza was also successful in registering the fastest century in the history of ODI cricket.
West Indies and Zimbabwe last met in March 2018 and the African team had to face defeat by four wickets in that match. In their last five encounters with the West Indies in 50-over cricket, Zimbabwe could manage only one win.
