Prerna Singh, 20, from Kota, Rajasthan, exemplifies the power of focus in the midst of difficulties. After the untimely demise of his father, who was an auto driver, he was dealt another blow when the bank sent him a notice to either repay the home loan or vacate the house. The responsibility of the family fell on the shoulders of Prerna and her mother. Apart from this, he had to find a way out of the debt of Rs 27 lakh. However, Prerna did not let these hurdles change her career path.
Today Prerna’s eyes lit up with happiness after getting success in NEET. However, she clearly remembers the day when she had to consider having a meal even after her father passed away. Once upon a time, her family used to survive on roti-chutney, but in the midst of these circumstances, Prerna remained firm on her pursuit. She studied tirelessly on an empty stomach, eventually cracking NEET.
Prerna, a resident of Mahaveer Nagar, Kota, has scored an impressive 686 in NEET UG, which is enough to get her admission in a government medical college.
According to reports, when Prerna was studying in class 10 (2018), her father died due to cancer. His only source of income fell like a house of cards. The death of the earning member plunged the family into deep shock. His financial condition was not good. Then, his mother started working and taking care of the family. However, Corona brought another financial crisis for the family. During this, the family members took the cooperation of the family members. Her mother arranged money for her NEET coaching. Apart from coaching, Prerna used to study for 12 hours.
Prerna’s mother had taken a loan of about Rs 2 lakh for the education of her children. He is also facing a case against the bank that had given him the home loan. All the four brothers and sisters have proved their mettle through their hard work.
