NASA never fails to amaze us. On Tuesday, the US space agency released a beautiful panoramic shot of Mars that captured both the morning and afternoon views in stunning clarity.
The Mars rover took the picture as it was climbing the slope of a 3-mile-long (5-kilometer-long) peak associated with Gale Crater. It captured the image using its navigation cameras to produce two series of five separate images.

According to Doug Allison, a Curiosity engineer at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Southern California, it is clear to anyone who has visited a national park that the landscape undergoes changes from morning to afternoon. Alison is responsible for planning and processing the images.
On April 8, 2023, at 9:20 a.m. local Mars time, the first image was taken, and at 3:40 p.m., the second.
The rover’s three antennas and the nuclear power source can be seen in the image, which extends to the rear of the vehicle.
Scientists are learning how to protect people first from radiation on the surface of Mars using the Radiation Assessment Detector, or RAD, instrument, which can be seen as a white circle in the lower right corner of the image. According to NASA.
